Science: Up, Up and Away!

The girls have been busily making paper airplanes...and they are flying them in school!  They constructed each plane using the same design so that we could use them to gather data.  Flaps were made on the end of of each wing, and a rudder was added to the rear of each plane.  The girls changed the position of the flaps and the rudder and then observed the flight of the plane after each change to see whether there was a difference.  We gathered and compared the data from all of the flights so that they could draw conclusions.
The girls showed good technique in flying their planes.

After each flight, the data was recorded in a table.
