More from Tech

This month the students in fourth grade continue their hard work on a variety of projects.  Both classes created business cards for their countries.  Mrs. Keller's class continues to work in Tinker Cad, editing their "desky" designs. This week they begin working with the Lego NXT kits.  Ms. Strouss' class finished the Lego NXT robotic cars with a race and is in the early stages of learning TinkerCad.

Art: Stitchery

The girls are starting a new unit in stitchery and today invented their own stitches with the goal of creating textures with this new medium. They will design a postage stamp image to represent their country and create it with different stitches. Intuitively, the girls shared their ideas and taught each other their discoveries. The culture of sewing and textile crafts is universally one of community building, storytelling and learning from each other.

French: Les Visiteurs Français

We were lucky enough to have French exchange students from Lyon come down to the Lower School and visit with the fourth grade today! The girls asked them some great questions both in French and in English (the visitors are here to improve their English after all!) and we all learned a lot about their lives in France. They even took a "selfie" together!
